I mentioned in a previous post that I received a package full of stuff to review. One of those was from C2CaliClean which can be found here, if you haven't read it yet. Also in that package were some items from Pixi Beauty for me to use and review. These are my true and honest thoughts about each product and I hope you enjoy!
The first product is the H2O Skin Tint, part of the Pixi by Petra line. This is a tinted face gel. The shade I have is No.2 Nude. This is similar to a tinted moisturizer, except it's a gel consistency. I've heard really positive reviews from a lot of people, including my sister. I'm not really a fan of tinted moisturizers because when I do wear makeup, I generally want something that's more of a build-able or full coverage (depending on how good my skin is). HOWEVER, I've really enjoyed using this product. It has amazing coverage. One layer of it and my skin is completely covered; and in the off-chance that there are spots on my face that need extra coverage, a little concealer does the trick and I don't feel like my makeup is heavy on my face.
Next is the Flawless Beauty Powder. I have it in the shade No.1 Fair. I don't really like this powder as a pressed powder (like it's meant to be), but will use it as a loose powder. However, I do need to reapply after a while because it seems to wear off after a couple hours. When I looked on the website, I couldn't find the exact one I received but I found one very similar to it here. I'm not sure if they re-did the formula or if it's a completely different product, so if you get this other one let me know how it works for you!
Aspyn Ovard, popular YouTuber, Instagrammer, and blogger collaborated with Pixi Beauty and one of the items I received in my package was one of her Glow-y Powder Highlighters in the shade London Lustre. The pigmentation of this product is amazing! I prefer using my finger when putting on highlight, but using my finger for this product makes it look cake-y just because it is so pigmented; so, I use a brush when applying this highlighter. The color is also a bit whiter than it appears in the packaging, so if you don't like white highlighters or don't think it's a flattering color on you, there are two other shades from this collaboration to choose from!
MaryamNYC, or Maryam Maquillage, also collaborated with Pixi Beauty and the item from this collaboration I received is the Strobe and Bronze Glow and Bronze Palette. There are 6 shades, 3 matte and 3 that have very subtle shimmer. I prefer matte bronzers on my face, so I definitely use the matte shades more than the shimmery ones. The colors on this palette are SO PIGMENTED. Definitely don't swish your brush around too much when picking up product because a little goes a long way with this baby. Honestly, I like all three of the matte shades on me, which is weird because they're three completely different shades, but depending on what look I'm going for or how dramatic I want my bronzer/contour, I use the colors accordingly. If you also do others' makeup having such diverse shades will be helpful. The shimmer shades are definitely beautiful, too! I like using them on my eye because I'm more open to shimmer-y products there; however, when I do want a little shimmer on my cheeks, I'll use these colors!
The next product is also part of the Pixi by Petra line. This product is the 2-in-1 Natural Brow Duo in Natural Blonde. It is a pencil and gel in one--one end has the pencil and the other end has the gel. I'll have to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the pencil side of it. I find that if your brows need a lot of defining and filling because they're very thin or non-existent (mine are very thin thanks to a waxing fiasco), then this product doesn't really do the job. If you have fuller brows already and just want a product to fill in some small gaps here and there, then this would be ideal. Now, I've still used this on my brows everyday since receiving the package, but I'll use it as a base and then I'll put another pencil on top. The pencil also breaks pretty easily. HOWEVER, I do LOVE the gel side of this product. It really makes my brows stay in place (more-so than my L'Oreal eyebrow gel that I love)! The packaging claims that this product is waterproof--and based off of the gel alone, I'd agree because they have not budged while wearing the gel and my brows have also gotten wet and still looked the same as when I had done them earlier.
The next two items I'm going to review together. They're both also from the Pixi by Petra line. The first is the 3-in-1 Black Lacquer Lash Primer and the Lengthy Fiber Mascara. The Black Lacquer Lash Primer says that it "plumps, primes, and defines" and can be used for volume, as a solo product to add a tint to your lashes, or as a means of fixing your lashes after applying mascara. Let me tell you, it does all three BEAUTIFULLY! It can definitely be used as a tint and a primer. I think it makes my lashes look gorgeous! I love to follow-up with the Lengthy Fiber Mascara; the two are such a beautiful combination together and so I love them as a pair. The Lengthy Fiber Mascara is one of those mascaras that has fibers in it that add some thickness and volume to your lashes. I feel like the Lash Primer helps stick the Fiber Mascara into place. I've worn the primer on its own as a tint and loved it, but haven't tried the mascara alone, so I'll have to let you know in the future what I think of it by itself. Overall, I love these two products together!
The FINAL product I'm going to review from Pixi Beauty is the Glow Tonic. This is an exfoliating toner with 5% glycolic acid, ginseng, and aloe. I've heard amazing things about this product and was excited when I saw a little mini one in my package! This product claims to even out skintone for a brighter, clearer, smoother complexion. The Glow Tonic is alcohol-free, which I love because it won't dry out my skin and it's also hypoallergenic. I love using this product at night after I've washed my face. I've noticed that it does make my skin look brighter and smoother and it smells pretty good!
This was a long post, but I hope you found it useful!
